Processing & Sterilization Guide

To maintain the integrity of the high-alloy steel and ensure client safety, always follow these steps:

1. Disinfection: Immerse the scissors in a dedicated metal-safe disinfectant solution (such as Staleks Pro Disinfector) following the manufacturer’s instructions (typically 15–30 minutes). Avoid aggressive chemicals like acetone or pure alkalis.

2. Cleaning & Washing: Carefully rinse the tool with water. Use a soft plastic-bristle brush to clear out any residue around the screw and joint. Ultrasonic baths are highly recommended. Do not leave the tool soaked in plain water for extended periods.

3. Drying: Thoroughly dry the scissors by laying them completely open, blades facing up, on disposable paper towels. Residual moisture inside the joint prior to heating will cause corrosion.

4. Sterilization: Place the completely dry tool into a kraft bag. Sterilize using physical heat methods (autoclave or dry-heat oven). Do not overload the sterilizer (fill up to 70% max) to ensure proper air ventilation. Allow the tool to cool down fully inside the machine before removal to protect the steel’s structural integrity.
