Recommended Operating Speeds

Always adjust the speed based on the specific treatment area to prevent overheating and ensure client safety.

• Maximum speed for gel polish removal: Up to 18,000 RPM.

• Natural Nails & Skin: 5,000–15,000 RPM (filing, reducing thickness, cuticle cleaning, grinding lateral ridges).

• Artificial Nails: 15,000–25,000 RPM (reducing thickness, coating removal, free edge shaping).

• Pedicure: 5,000–30,000+ RPM (from polishing skin to removing deep core calluses).

Care, Cleaning & Sterilization Instructions

STALEKS PRO carbide bits withstand all standard chemical and thermal sterilization methods (except for disinfectants based on active oxygen, which can cause corrosion).

1. Initial Cleaning: Remove the bit from the handpiece immediately after use. Use a soft brush to carefully sweep away nail dust and debris. Do not scrub under running water to prevent spreading pathogens.

2. Disinfection: Soak the bit in a professional disinfectant solution (designed to destroy Hepatitis B, C, and dermatomycosis viruses) following the manufacturer’s dilution and exposure guidelines.

3. Deep Cleaning: Immerse the bit in an ultrasonic bath filled with warm soapy water or enzymatic detergent for 10–15 minutes to soften and lift remaining residue.

4. Sterilization: Place the dry bit into a sterilization pouch.

   • Dry-Heat Oven: 180°C for 60 minutes (or 160°C for 150 minutes).

   • Autoclave: 132°C at 2 atm pressure for 20 minutes (or 120°C at 1.1 atm for 45 minutes).

   • Allow the tool to cool naturally inside the sterilizer for at least 1 hour after processing to prevent thermal shock.

5. Storage: Store fully dry, sterilized bits in a clean, closed container away from moisture, dust, and loose abrasives.

When to Replace Your Carbide Bit

Replace your bit immediately if you observe any of the following signs:

• Dullness: The blades look smooth, have lost their luster, or require excessive physical pressure to shave off the material.

• Vibration or Heat: The bit begins to wobble, vibrates in the handpiece, or causes a burning sensation during use.

• Bent Shank: The shank becomes bent due to drops, heavy impact, or overheating. Never use a deformed bit, as it will damage the client’s nail and ruin your e-file’s micromotor.
