Care, Cleaning & Sterilization
STALEKS PRO carbide bits withstand all standard methods of cold and hot sterilization (except for disinfectant solutions based on active oxygen, which can cause corrosion).

Initial Cleaning: Remove the bit immediately after use. Use a soft brush to carefully sweep away dust and debris. Do not scrub under running water to prevent splashing potential pathogens.

Disinfection: Soak the bit in a certified disinfectant solution (proven against Hepatitis and dermatomycosis) according to the manufacturer’s time and concentration guidelines.

Deep Cleaning: Immerse the bit in an ultrasonic cleaner with warm soapy water or enzymatic detergent for 10–15 minutes to break down stubborn debris.

Sterilization: Place the dry bit in a sterilization pouch. Safe for Dry-Heat Ovens (e.g., 180°C for 60 mins) or Autoclaves (e.g., 132°C at 2 atm for 20 mins). Allow the tool to cool down naturally for at least 1 hour after autoclaving to prevent thermal shock.

Storage: Store fully dried bits in a clean, sterile, and closed container away from moisture and dust.
When to Replace Your Carbide Bit
To ensure safety and efficiency, replace your bit if you notice any of the following:

Dullness: The cutting blades have lost their shine, feel smooth to the touch, or are permanently clogged with material.

Decreased Efficiency: It takes longer to remove material, or you find yourself needing to press harder on the nail plate.

Vibration or Heat: The bit begins to vibrate or causes a burning sensation during coating removal.

Physical Damage: The bit is dropped, resulting in micro-chips, a bent shank, or an off-center rotation. Never use a bent cutter, as it will vibrate, cause client discomfort, and rapidly wear out your e-file’s micro-motor.
